How to Choose a Hair Transplant Clinic
In Turkey — Independently.
This guide is written so you can evaluate any provider yourself — including ones we have nothing to do with. At the end, we'll show you how MJB Care applies these same considerations to its own hospital partnership.

What to Actually Check Before You Book
Credentials & Licensing
A hair transplant provider in Turkey should hold official licensing, and one treating international patients should hold health tourism authorization from Turkey's Ministry of Health. Ask to see the actual documents.
Ask: "Can you show me your facility license and health tourism authorization certificate?"
Who Actually Performs Each Step
This is the single most important question in hair transplant tourism, and the one most patients never ask. A hair transplant has several distinct steps — hairline design, extraction, channel opening, and implantation — and in many clinics, technicians (not doctors) perform some or all of these, even when a doctor is shown in marketing photos.
Ask: "Specifically, who performs the extraction and implantation — a licensed doctor, or a technician?"
Where the Procedure Takes Place
A hospital environment gives access to full medical infrastructure and emergency support that a standalone clinic may not have. Neither setting guarantees quality on its own, but it's a fair question to ask.
Ask: "Is the procedure performed in a hospital or a standalone clinic, and what medical support is available on-site?"
Results at 12–18 Months, Not Just Day One
Hair transplant results take time to mature — meaningful results typically take 12–18 months to fully show. Photos from immediately after surgery (freshly implanted grafts) tell you almost nothing about the actual outcome. Ask for results from patients at least a year out.
Ask: "Can I see results from patients 12+ months after their procedure, not just immediately after?"
Graft Count & Technique Claims
Be cautious of guaranteed exact graft numbers quoted before any in-person or photo-based assessment, and of "unlimited graft" claims that don't account for the physical limits of your donor area. The right graft count and technique (FUE, DHI, Sapphire FUE) depends on your specific case.
Ask: "How was this graft number and technique determined for my specific case?"
Reviews — and Where They Actually Came From
Reviews hosted only on a clinic's own website are the least verifiable. Independent sources (Google, Trustpilot) are harder to fake at scale.
Ask: "Can you point me to your independent Google or Trustpilot reviews?"
Pricing & What's Actually Included
Hotel, transfers, medication, and the exact technique used can all be bundled into the headline price — or not. Get a written breakdown of what's included before you commit.
Ask: "What's included in this price, and what would cost extra?"
Aftercare & Warranty
Ask what happens if graft survival is lower than expected — is there a warranty, and how would follow-up work once you've returned home?
Ask: "What is your graft warranty and aftercare policy after I return home?"
Red Flags Worth Taking Seriously
Prices dramatically below every other quote, pressure to book immediately, vague or evasive answers about who performs the procedure, no verifiable independent reviews, and no results shown beyond the day of surgery are all worth treating as warning signs.
Who Performs Your Procedure Is Disclosed Up Front
Rather than leaving "who actually performs the procedure" as a question you have to ask, MJB Care's hair transplant calculator separates Specialist-performed and Doctor-performed options with different pricing for each — so you know which you're booking before you commit, not after.
Our hospital partnership with Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital was chosen using the same research process we apply to every provider — licensing, independent reputation research, and direct patient interviews — not because it was the cheapest or most profitable option for us.
