MJB Care Verified

What We've Directly Confirmed

  • Compensation model — Memorial pays MJB Care a 15% commission on the fixed treatment cost, with no markup added for the patient. Confirmed directly by MJB Care. See Transparency for the full breakdown.
  • Non-exclusivity — MJB Care is not contractually tied to Memorial and can refer patients to a different hospital if better suited to their case.
  • Dr. Salim Salimov's profile — biography, education, and areas of practice as provided directly to MJB Care and published on the hair transplant page.
Provider-Reported

What Comes From Memorial's Own Materials

  • JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation — Memorial Şişli was the first hospital in Türkiye, and the 21st in the world, to receive JCI accreditation (2002), with renewals completed in 2005, 2008, 2011, and 2014. Memorial's current corporate materials list JCI accreditation across Şişli, Ankara, Bahçelievler, and Medstar Antalya — Bahçelievler specifically among them.
  • LEED Platinum — Memorial states Bahçelievler is the world's first fully-equipped hospital to receive this, the highest LEED certification level.
  • ISO 50001 (energy management) — Memorial lists this across Ankara, Antalya, Bahçelievler, Şişli, and Diyarbakır — a group-wide standard, not unique to Bahçelievler. Memorial holds other ISO certifications (e.g. ISO 15189 for specific laboratories, ISO/IEC 27001 for its home care division) that apply to different facilities/departments — we don't lump these together as a generic "ISO Certified" claim
  • Memorial Şişli Hospital received its first patient in 2000, marking the start of Memorial Hospitals Group's operating history. Memorial Bahçelievler — where MJB Care's hair transplant patients are treated — opened later, in 2018, with 320 beds and 15 operating rooms of its own.

Independent External

What We Found Outside Memorial's Own Materials

  • LEED Platinum — the U.S. Green Building Council, which actually issues LEED certification, maintains its own project record for "Memorial Bahcelievler Hospital" on usgbc.org — confirming this is a real, registered project, not only a claim on Memorial's own site. We couldn't pull the exact certification level or date off USGBC's page directly (it sits behind a login screen for us), so we're not calling this full primary-source confirmation of "Platinum" specifically — but the project's existence in USGBC's own database is independent of Memorial.
  • A building-materials contractor unconnected to Memorial, ASPEN Yapı ve Zemin, which worked on the Bahçelievler building, separately describes it in its own project case study as "the first full-fledged hospital structure in the world to be awarded the LEED Platinum certificate" — a source with no reason to simply repeat Memorial's marketing copy.

Still Outstanding

What We Haven't Independently Confirmed

  • JCI accreditation and ISO 50001 remain provider-reported: MJB Care hasn't cross-checked these against JCI's or ISO's own accreditation registries directly — only against Memorial's own corporate materials and third-party health-tourism directories that ultimately repeat Memorial's claim.
  • We haven't obtained or read a physical copy of Memorial's own licensing documents the way we have for VSC Clinic — this is a difference in verification depth between our two partners that we think is more honest to disclose than to paper over.

Strengths & Things to Consider

Potential Strengths

  • Hospital-based setting with full medical infrastructure, not a standalone clinic
  • Large, established group with a two-decade operating history
  • Commission-only compensation model means the patient pays the same price as booking direct

Things Patients Should Know

  • Some accreditation claims are currently provider-reported rather than independently cross-checked by MJB Care — see "Still Outstanding" above
  • As with any hospital-based procedure, ask directly who performs each step of your treatment — see our Doctor vs. Technician guide
